TOTS Forestry Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria

There is one scholarship to be awarded each calendar year. The scholarship is a cash grant to the value of $3,000.
Sponsored by TOTS Wood Council & TOTS Forestry Awards

  • A student about to enter the forestry and/or timber manufacturing/processing industries or an
    employee within the industry who aspires to improve their skills, knowledge and value to their
    employer with extra study or resources.
  • Expected career outcome in specific industry activities – either forestry and/or timber
    manufacturing/processing industries.
  • Work history and/or education record, awards and recognition.
  • Recommendation of principal tutor or employer.
  • Community/extracurricular involvement.
  • NZ citizen or permanent resident.
  • Normally a resident of the top of the south region of New Zealand.

Please note the scholarship recipient will be required to provide a written report at the end of the scholarship term to the TOTS Wood Council outlining progress. TOTS Wood Council would endeavour to find job placement in the industry.
